Most lakes in the high country are stocked with a variety of different species of trout including the famed Greenback Cutthroat, rainbow trout, brook trout, and more. These crystal-clear waters are teeming with wild trout, providing the perfect setting for anglers of all levels to hone their skills or pick up new techniques.
Each of our Group Backcountry Adventures come with a professional guide who can provide fly fishing instruction and insight on the productive flies and techniques for catching trout in the high alpine lakes of Rocky Mountain National Park. Don’t have your own fly rod? Don’t worry, we’ll take care of all necessary fly fishing equipment including but not limited to rod outfits, flies, terminal tackle, and accessories.
Fully Equipped Campsite
Forget about the hassle of packing and carrying your gear! This backcountry camping experience features all of the creature comforts that you might get in the front country. With a team of pack llamas that can carry up to 60 lbs. each, we transport all the essential camping equipment to the campsite including tents, sleeping pads, food, and more. And the best part? Your guide will set up all of your camping equipment so that you can fully relaxing in the serenity of the high country.
With the help of our pack llamas, carry only your personal essentials in a small pack and fully enjoy your day on the wondrous trails of Rocky Mountain National Park. This is truly the best way to travel in the backcountry.
